Event narrative

Tidal flooding was observed along Beach Blvd and the Intracoastal Waterway. Water was over the road and across parking lots near Beach Marine. Observations were consistent with strong local Nor'easter events rising water levels into minor flood stage to low end moderate flood stage.

Wider weather episode

A tight pressure gradient between low pressure east of the region and high pressure north of the area created strong onshore flow. The persistent onshore flow combined with high astronomical tides created moderate tidal flooding around high tide.
