Strengthening low pressure crossed northern Michigan on the night of the 9th into the early morning of the 10th. Snow developed ahead of the low, with the heaviest snow north of M-32, and in particular in eastern upper Michigan. Central and eastern Chippewa County, mainly near and east of I-75, picked up 8 to 12 inches of snow, with the highest amounts in Dafter, Barbeau, and De Tour Village.
