Event narrative

Coastal flooding was reported on Edisto Island, SC. Homes on Jungle Shores Drive were flooded on the ground level. A Deputy Chief also reported Scott Creek overflowing as well as flooding on Palmetto Boulevard.

Wider weather episode

A strong northerly wind in wake of a passing low pressure system led to elevated tides and a period of coastal flooding along the Southeast South Carolina coast.
