Strong north to northeast winds developed across the Ventura county mountains. Automated sensors in the area reported wind gusts in excess of 60 MPH.

In mid-October, strong and gusty Santa Ana winds developed across Southern California. In the mountains of Ventura and Los Angeles counties, north to northeast wind gusts up to 66 MPH were reported.
