What EF0 means. On the Enhanced Fujita scale, EF0 is light damage: shingles and siding peeled, gutters torn, branches broken, consistent with estimated gusts of 65–85 mph. The rating comes from a survey of the worst damage after the storm, not from a wind measurement, so it says as much about what the tornado hit as about how strong it was.

What the National Weather Service wrote

This weak brief tornado touched down near Sadler Road and moved east to Haralson Lane. Around a dozen trees had large limbs broken off, with a few smaller trees uprooted. Some tin covering for a room was pealed off and blown across a few yards. Max winds were around 80 mph and path length was near 1.3 miles.

The wider storm

A cold front moved through the region, and then stalled southeast of the area. Some flash flooding and wind damage occurred in association with this system. Some gradient wind damage also occurred out ahead of the approaching cold front.
