A storm system brought periods of snow to the area over a 24 hour period. Most areas saw three to seven inches of fluffy snowfall. Locally heavier bands of snowfall produced higher amounts over parts of the central Black Hills and Ziebach County. Breezy conditions produced some areas of blowing and drifting snow as well. Wind chill values were well below zero in many areas.
