The Bird Springs Pass RAWS measured a peak wind gust of 73 mph.

Following the departure of the low pressure system that brought significant rainfall to the San Joaquin Valley and wintry conditions to the higher elevations, a strong cold front pushed through the area on February 10. While this system did provide for more rainfall and higher elevations snow as many area in the San Joaquin Valley picked up between another quarter to half inch of rainfall. The main impact from this system was strong winds with the cold front as it pushed through the area during the afternoon of February 10. Several reporting stations in the San Joaquin Valley and southern Sierra foothills measured gusts above 35 mph and several stations in the Kern County Mountains and Deserts measured gusts above 45 mph and a few low impact indicator sites measured gusts exceeding 60 mph.
