Event narrative
Rockhouse RAWS recorded wind gusts up to 63 mph. Pacific Power reported an outage affecting 167 customers. A storm spotter in Swiss Home reported that two trees were uprooted by the winds, there were many trees and branches down, and the power was out.
Wider weather episode
A strong low pressure system over the Gulf of Alaska brought a strong cold front through. This generated strong winds across northwest Oregon, and also brought heavy rain which caused flooding on the Tillamook river. Large seas also caused damage in spots along beaches.
