At 4 PM EST a trained spotter in Bristol reported a wind gust to 48 mph. At 5:15 PM EST an amateur radio operator in Barrington reported a tree down on Vineland Road.

Wider weather episode

A storm moving north through the Great Lakes redeveloped along the Mid Atlantic coast on the 24th, then moved up the coast past Southern New England. This coastal storm brought damaging west-northwest winds to Rhode Island as it moved off through the Maritimes on the 25th.
