Lake effect snow accumulated between 9 and 11 inches in the Auburn area.

Wider weather episode

Low pressure tracked from the coast of Maine during the afternoon of the 9th to the Maritimes of Canada by the afternoon of the 10th. A cold moist northwest flow of air crossed the relatively warm waters of Lake Ontario leading to heavy lake effect snow in north central New York.
