A weather station on iWindsurf.com reported wind gusts up to 68 mph at Viento State Park. Power outages reported in Hood River, with 100 ft trees blown down onto power lines.

A strong low pressure system tracking southeast across Washington brought strong westerly winds through the central Columbia Gorge. Winds caused power outages in Hood River. Some of the public said this was one of the stronger events they've seen.
