Nebraska Department of Roads sensor at Highway 29 and Cut Across Road or ten miles south of Agate measured wind chills from minus 30 to minus 35.

Wider weather episode

With the recent passing of a low pressure trough, cold arctic air settled in across the region bringing wind chill values mainly into the minus 30 and 40 degree range. One sensor in Banner County measured a wind chill value of minus 58.
