Sensor at Cow Creek or twenty-one miles north-northeast of Baggs measured the reported wind gust.
Wider weather episode
A potent low to mid level mountain wave ahead of an arctic cold front provided another ample opportunity for high winds across much of southeastern Wyoming. Several locations had gusts into the 60 mph range with a few specific locations reaching into the 70 mph range and one to 86 mph.
