Event narrative

Up to a quarter of an inch of ice was reported over Knox County with some power lines and tree limbs knocked down due to the wait of the ice. Also, most of the roads were ice covered and hazardous.

Wider weather episode

A strong storm system moved through the region with much colder air on the back side. Portions of northeast and central Missouri had freezing rain as temperatures dropped below freezing before the rain came to an end during the early morning hours of February 7th.
