Caltrans at Route 53 south, there is a full closure of Hwy 20 due to flooding.

Wider weather episode

Heavy snow fell over the mountains and extended down into lower elevations, causing widespread travel problems and road closures. Thunderstorms brought heavy rain and small hail with widespread road flooding. Gusty winds brought down trees and caused power outages.
