Salt Creek Falls SNOTEL recorded 26 inches of snow, and Cascade Summit SNOTEL recorded 25 inches of snow.

Wider weather episode

A broad low pressure system that had been sitting off the coast of Washington and Oregon moved onto the coast, bringing with it plenty of moisture from the Pacific Ocean. With a cold air mass in place, heavy snow fell in the Lane County Cascades.
