Low pressure crossed the northern Great Lakes on the afternoon of the 4th. A lengthy period of freezing drizzle gave way to a more substantial wintry mix as the low approached. This fell as mostly freezing rain in Chippewa County. Around three-tenths of an inch of ice accumulation was measured in Sault Ste Marie.
