Weak low pressure would slowly organize as it moved east from Iowa. Initial light snow gave way to heavy snow as the system made its closest approach on the night of the 14th. The heaviest snowfall fell in eastern upper Michigan, mainly near and east of I-75. Hulbert picked up 11 inches of snow, while St Ignace, Hessel, Kinross, and Drummond Island were all in the 8 to 10 inch range.
