Around six inches of snow accumulation and areas of freezing drizzle. A man collapsed and died while shoveling.

Low pressure and a strong frontal boundary brought moderate to heavy snow to southern WI. The winter storm started with areas of freezing drizzle and light snow before the heavier snow began. Many vehicle slide-off and accidents occurred. Some schools and other events were cancelled on January 23rd. A man collapsed and died while shoveling in Milwaukee.
