A severe thunderstorm broke out over metro Denver during the overnight hours. Some damage was reported to cars and vegetation. The hail ranged in size from nickel to half dollar size. Broadcast media reported damage to 16 different greenhouses around Denver; seven experienced significant damage. In addition, two different storms passed across Denver International Airport. The hail accumulated on the runways but no damage to aircraft was reported.
