Storm total snowfall included 12 inches in Salt Lake City, 10 inches in the Upper Avenues, 7 inches in South Salt Lake, and 5 inches in Cottonwood Heights, Sugarhouse, and Taylorsville.

Wider weather episode

Another powerful storm brought snow and high winds across northern and central Utah. Overnight, a lake effect snow band brought significant snowfall to the Salt Lake Valley. This snow contained a high water content, taking tree branches down throughout the Salt Lake Valley, leading to power outages, and creating difficult travel conditions.
