Multiple short-lived waterspouts were observed offshore Sand Key in association with a dissipating area of showers.

Wider weather episode

Showers and a few thunderstorms developed in advance of a cold front moving southeast through the eastern Gulf of Mexico. Several waterspouts were observed along with an isolated gale-force wind gust.
