On April 23rd, a stationary surface low sat near the Ozarks. Attached to the low was a cold front extending to the northeast. The front advanced southeast through the Ohio Valley before becoming semi-stationary near the Ohio River during the following days. As the front did this, with cooler air to the north and warm moist air to the south, isolated areas of severe hail and wind brought minor damage to parts of central Kentucky.
