Half dollar size hail a few miles south of Rosebud.

Wider weather episode

An upper level wave moving east through the southern Rockies forced fast westerly flow aloft through central and eastern New Mexico on June 13, 2019. Scattered showers and thunderstorms first developed over Socorro County where hail up to the size of quarters accumulated along Interstate 25. The deeper moisture and instability focused over eastern New Mexico during the late afternoon and evening hours where several thunderstorms produced large hail, especially over Harding County.
