Heavy Snow — Roscommon, Michigan

2019-04-14 to 2019-04-15 · Roscommon, Michigan

Wider weather episode

Low pressure would strengthen as it moved northeast across the eastern Great Lakes on the night of the 14th. Other than a touch of rain at onset, precipitation was almost exclusively snow in northern lower Michigan. Snowfall totals of six to nine inches were common, along and southeast of a line from Cadillac to Alpena. However, the only concentrated area that reported over eight inches of snow was in Roscommon County. Eight to nine inches of snow fell on Roscommon, Houghton and Higgins Lake, St Helen, and the Twin Lakes area.
