Trees were reported down along with structural damage to garage doors and power outages near Lenoir City.

Widely scattered severe thunderstorms formed in the heat of the afternoon with the help of an upper level low meandering around the Southeastern U.S. Much of the event was associated with damaging downbursts from pulse convection.
