A weak tornado touched down briefly over open areas in the foothills of the Little Belt Mountains.

The wider storm

A strong jet max moved over the north central portions of the state during the late afternoon into the early evening hours. This resulted in severe thunderstorms across Golden Valley and Wheatland Counties with a brief tornado touchdown west of Judith Gap.
