Event narrative

A significant downburst occurred over Vandalia Municipal Airport. One airplane was flipped over and sustained significant damage. Also, 4 hangers were destroyed and two more will likely be a total loss. Eight to nine power poles were snapped off. No injuries or deaths were reported with this storm.
