CoCoRaHS Station CA-SI-2, 1 mile southwest of Sierraville reported 0.77 inches of rainfall over a 24 hour period from 15 May 0500PST to 16 May 0500PST.

Wider weather episode

The first in a series of unusually cold storms moved into the Sierra Nevada on the 15th and persisted through the 16th and into the morning hours of the 17th. This system brought snow to areas above 5500 feet MSL and rain below this level. High winds also preceded the incoming low.
