Mesonet station BOGC1, Bogard Ranger Station reported 0.87 inches of rainfall in a 24 hour period from 15 May 0600PST to 16 May 0600PST. Mesonet elevation 5673 feet MSL.

Wider weather episode

The first in a series of unusually cold storms moved into the Sierra Nevada on the 15th and persisted through the 16th and into the morning hours of the 17th. This system brought snow to areas above 5500 feet MSL and rain below this level. High winds also preceded the incoming low.
