A woman was kayaking in Blue Mesa Reservoir near the Gunnison River inlet and passed away.
Wider weather episode
Accelerated snowmelt due to above normal temperatures produced high and fast flow on the Gunnison River. Two women died in separate recreational accidents caused by the dangerous water conditions.
