Sheboygan lakeshore weather station measured a brief gust to 43 knots as scattered thunderstorms developed in the area.
Wider weather episode
A line of strong thunderstorms formed along a cold front over northern Wisconsin during the afternoon, and then moved southeast across the near shore and open waters of Lake Michigan during the evening. The thunderstorms caused strong winds over Lake Michigan.
