Large tree limbs were blown down.

Late in the afternoon of August 17th, a cold front extended from the Lake of the Woods region back into central South Dakota. Thunderstorms broke out along the front and continued into the early evening, producing numerous funnel clouds, as well as large hail and damaging winds.
