Trained spotter reported nickel hail.

Wider weather episode

Several strong thunderstorms developed across the eastern Colorado plains during the afternoon and evening hours of June 18th. No reports of large damaging hail or tornadoes were submitted though several severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings were issued. A funnel cloud report was also submitted for a thunderstorm in Las Animas County. No indications of a touchdown.
