A foot of water was flowing across Sanchez Rd forcing it to be closed.

Wider weather episode

Scattered thunderstorms formed over areas from Tucson eastward. Storms in Graham County downed trees from Fort Thomas to Safford and caused flash flooding in the Safford area as well as Mt. Graham. A child was injured by a lightning strike while swimming in Cluff Lake southwest of Safford.
