A tree was blown down on Red Top Orchard Road between Harvard Road and Apple Tree Lane.

Wider weather episode

A cold front approached from the west during the day of July 11th, with warm and moist air advection occurring on southerly flow. This promoted the development of significant amounts of instability, and that coupled with an approaching shortwave trough and modest shear values, led to the generation of scattered showers and thunderstorms, some of which became severe.
