The public reported hail the size of quarters at Gamaliel Shooting Supply.

As the upper flow began to amplify dropping south over the southeastern United States, a cold front was pushed southeast, causing a line of showers to move through southern Indiana and central Kentucky during the morning of August 13th.
During the evening along the southern end of where the morning showers had passed, storms developed dropping severe hail in Kentucky near the Tennessee state line. The system continued to grow after passing into Tennessee.
