A sustained wind of 36 knots was recorded at Texas Point on the 13th while a max wind gust of 49 knots was recorded on the 14th.

Barry gained strength as it moved toward the Louisiana coast and obtained minimal hurricane status on the 13th before landfall. Mostly tropical storm force winds were recorded however hurricane force gusts were also reported.
