A thunderstorm moved across Crane County and produced a 64 mph wind gust one mile north northwest of Crane at the Mesonet site.

A weak upper level trough was over the region. Lingering surface boundaries from thunderstorms the previous night became a focus for thunderstorm development during the afternoon and evening across West Texas. There was a decent amount of low and mid-level moisture across the area. These conditions resulted in a thunderstorm with strong winds.
