Thunderstorms produced a wind gust to 47 knots as they reached the nearshore waters of Lake Michigan at Washington Island.
The wider storm
An upper level disturbance, an approaching surface trough, and marginally unstable air led to the development of thunderstorms that produced strong winds as they passed over the waters of Green Bay and Lake Michigan.
