Event narrative

Thunderstorm winds caused tree and power line damage throughout Peshtigo. One tree fell on a garage and another damaged a fence. The most concentrated tree damage was near Peshtigo High School and along Maple Street.

Wider weather episode

Isolated severe thunderstorms developed as a frontal boundary moved into the area from the northeast and encountered an unstable air mass. The storms caused tree and power line damage and dropped hail as large as penny size.
