Event narrative
The Tincup fire began July 30th due to a lightning strike and burned the entire month of August. It was located approximately 30 miles northeast of Soda Springs. It was allowed to burn naturally and grew to 264 acres by the end of August. It reduced heavy dead and down fuel loading that was above historic range to to past fire suppression.
