Event narrative

St. Johns County Ocean Rescue reported a make in his mid 20s drowned due to rip currents. Stated that seasoned lifeguards had trouble in the hazardous waters on that day.

Strong onshore flow around TS Humberto created squally conditions and very dangerous surf. An extremely hazardous surf and rip current day made it extremely hard for Ocean Rescue to extract a male caught in a rip current.
