A rapidly moving front moving west to east across Barter Island resulted in westerly wind gusts to 67 mph.

A 998 mb low moving quickly from west to east across the Beaufort Sea resulted in strong westerly winds as the associated weather front swept across the Arctic Coast of Alaska. Wind gusts in excess of 60 mph were observed on the eastern Arctic Coast.
