Event narrative

A thunderstorm moved across Reeves County and produced wind damage in the town of Pecos. Power lines were down at 8th Street and Peach Street. The cost of damage is a very rough estimate.

Wider weather episode

A cold front was moving across West Texas which provided lift. Very moist and unstable air was present across the area. These conditions resulted in thunderstorms developing with hail and damaging winds.
