A supercell thunderstorm in Kiowa County, CO moved east-northeast through the extreme eastern part of the county. The sole Severe Thunderstorm Warning was issued at 1837 local time which included the town of Towner. Doppler weather radar indicated the potential for 2 inch hail and wind gusts exceeding 70 MPH. As the storm moved in Towner a report of 1 inch was reported by a trained spotter.
