A severe thunderstorm producing winds estimated near 60 mph knocked down multiple trees along Route 872 near Sinnemahoning State Park.
Wider weather episode
A weak area of low pressure crossing New York state dragged a weak trough across central Pennsylvania during the late afternoon and early evening of August 18, 2019, generating a line of storms. A few of these storms produced wind damage, along with one report of marginally severe hail.
