Deep tropical moisture associated with Tropical Storm Fernand, that moved into northeast Mexico, moved into the southern portion of the Middle Texas coast on September 4th. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms affected the region from early morning through early afternoon. Isolated wind gusts between 35 and 40 knots occurred.
