The Taboose Fire burned 10,296 acres and four vehicles. The event continued into October.

The Taboose Fire began southwest of Big Pine on the afternoon of September 4 due to a lightning strike. The fire destroyed four vehicles at Red Lake Trailhead on September 7, and eventually reached 10,296 acres before being contained on October 16. One firefighter was injured during containment operations.
