Event narrative

Up to four inches of rain fell in a short amount of time causing flash flooding. Several roads were flooded in the northwestern portions of Knox County including Highway 15 between Greensburg and Baring.

Wider weather episode

A strong cold front moved into the forecast area, triggering showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms became severe producing large hail, damaging winds and flash flooding.
